Jo Van Oosterwyck

Jo Van Oosterwyck is CEO and co-founder of bimefy, based in Hasselt. He co-founded the company in April 2023, initially as co-founder, investor and advisor, and has led product and technology there since October 2024.

Before that he spent seven years at Regnology, first as CTO of b.fine from April 2017 and then as head of software development from November 2022 to October 2024. He founded SpareSpace in March 2016 and ran it until December 2021, and worked as a project manager and consultant at SIGGIS between 2016 and 2018.

From April 2011 to March 2016 he was a project manager and consultant with Wolters Kluwer Financial Services Solutions, a period during which he took a series of consulting and project management assignments in banking, including at First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Sberbank, Rosselkhozbank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Société Générale Private Banking, Van Lanschot Bankiers, Commerzbank AG, CIT, EFG Bank, Ithmaar Bank, Stater N.V., BNY Mellon and BKCP Bank.

He studied applied economic sciences at Hasselt University, completing a bachelor's and master's degree in business engineering in management information systems, and also studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business and the University of Montpellier.
