
Joeri Minnen
Joeri Minnen is Managing Director of hbits, based in Brussels. He joined hbits in January 2015 as a researcher-entrepreneur, a role he continues to hold, and took up the position of Managing Director in November 2018. Since January 2004 he has been a member of the HETUS task force at EUROSTAT-HETUS.
Between October 2002 and December 2014 he was a senior researcher with Research Group TOR-VUB, and from January 2008 to December 2012 he worked as a researcher on an FWO project at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He returned to the Vrije Universiteit Brussel as an expert for the European Commission through SOGETI from October 2017 to June 2021. He was treasurer of the International Association for Time-Use Research from August 2013 to October 2023, carried out expert missions at ONS Algers in mid-2013, and was a member of TUS2013 at FOD Economie / SPF Economie / FPS Economy from July 2012 to December 2016.
He completed a Master in Political and Social Sciences at the University of Antwerp between 1997 and 2002, and studied sociology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2002.
