Overview

Jonas Tundo studied at Universiteit Ghent from 2003 to 2010, completing an Advanced Master of Statistical Data Analysis in 2008-2010 and sitting on the curriculum committee. He worked as a data scientist at Euroclear's Analytics Lab in Brussels and at Deloitte Belgium before co-founding Dataroots in 2016 with Bart Smeets.

At Dataroots he focused on building out the Data & Analytics and machine learning practice and served as a founder and CEO across the firm's growth from a handful of consultants in Leuven to roughly 150 people by end of 2023, including the December 2022 acquisition by Talan. He also worked on dploy.ai, the company's Mlops platform.

After stepping away from operational duties at Dataroots, Jonas moved into builder mode with Bart Smeets and Tim Goedeweeck under the label "Top of Mind". He is based in Leuven and remains active in the Belgian AI & Machine Learning community.
