
Katleen Verleysen
Katleen Verleysen is CEO of miDiagnostics, a Belgian medtech Company Building compact diagnostic equipment with $31.5M raised in a Series D round in December 2024.
Katleen Verleysen is the CEO of miDiagnostics, a role she has held since May 2021, and is based in Leuven. Since September 2024 she has chaired the board of directors of 4Tissue, and she has owned FlexCap Consulting since January 2010.
Before joining miDiagnostics she worked on strategic partnerships in life sciences at imec from 2019 to 2021. She was CEO of CellSeeQ between 2017 and 2019, chairman of the board of PharmaFluidics from 2015 to 2018, and interim CEO of DName-iT from 2015 to 2016. From 2014 until February 2025 she served ImmuneXpress Inc as a board member and strategic advisor, and she sat on the board of the Center for Medical Innovation from 2009 to 2013.
Verleysen joined Pronota in 2005 as head of technology development, later becoming director of technology development, vice president of operations and technology development, COO and, from 2012 to 2014, CEO. She began her industry career at Serenex, Inc. as a senior scientist in 2002, going on to lead its mass spectrometry and analytics group.
She holds a master's degree in chemistry and a PhD in analytical chemistry from Ghent University, completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University School of Medicine, and studied artificial intelligence and business strategy at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
