
Mattias Genbrugge
Mattias Genbrugge is Chief Operating Officer of Antwerp Space, a role he has held since December 2022. He is based in Gent.
He has worked at Antwerp Space since January 2014, first as Galileo FOC TVAC Test Director until December 2015 and then as a project manager until December 2022, when he took up his current role. Before that he was a thermal systems engineer at QinetiQ Space from August 2010 to December 2013, following a year as a Young Graduate Trainee in systems engineering at the European Space Agency from September 2009. He spent from November 2007 to July 2008 as a technical student at CERN.
Genbrugge studied at Delft University of Technology, where he completed a BSc in Aerospace Engineering between 2002 and 2006 and an MSc in Space Systems Engineering between 2006 and 2009. He attended Sint_Laurens Instituut Zelzate from 1996 to 2002, in the sciences and mathematics stream.
