Verrept co-founded Nobi in 2018 in Antwerp alongside Roeland Pelgrims and Bert De Haes. The company built an AI-powered smart light that uses optical sensors to detect falls in real time, reporting a 51% average reduction in falls after installation. Nobi raised EUR 13M in a Series A in 2022 and EUR 35M in an oversubscribed Series B in January 2025, bringing total funding to over EUR 48M.
