Valerie Vandeweerd

Valerie Vandeweerd is the CEO and co-founder of Monsana, a company she co-founded in September 2024. She is based in Hasselt.

Before Monsana, she worked at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, first as a scientist physician from March 2022 to June 2023 and then as an innovation manager from July 2023 to September 2024. She trained as a resident in obstetrics and gynaecology at Jessa ziekenhuis from October 2020 to June 2022 and at UZ Leuven from October 2021 to June 2022.

Vandeweerd studied medicine at Hasselt University, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine in 2017, and completed her Doctor of Medicine in general medicine at KU Leuven in 2020.
