Wendy Goossens
Wendy Goossens is the chief operating officer of Otary RS, a role she took up in October 2023. She is based in Gent.
She joined Otary RS in October 2018 as construction manager, and from September 2020 served as project director for SeaMade and, from November 2020, as O&M director, holding both roles until December 2023. In parallel she was construction manager at Rentel from March 2018 to September 2020.
Her earlier career alternated between IMDC and C-Power. At IMDC she was a project engineer from November 2004, an engineer-advisor from January 2009, construction manager from November 2013 and senior engineer during 2015. At C-Power she was marine and cable works manager from February 2008, then interface manager and marine and cable laying manager from September 2010 to December 2013.
Goossens studied civil engineering with a minor in renewable energy at Ghent University from 1998 to 2003, followed by a master in material science at the Universidad Austral de Chile from 2003 to 2004.
