Wim De Bruyne
De Bruyne holds a master's from INSEAD (2007-2008). He started his career at Proximus in product and commercial roles, then spent time at The Boston Consulting Group as a Tech and IT Principal across EU and APAC. At Barco he served as VP Sales for the Healthcare Business and General Manager for the Meeting Experience Business. Most recently he was a Partner at Montagu Private Equity, focused on tech, SaaS, healthcare, and critical-data businesses.
He joined Sofico as CEO in September 2025 as part of a long-prepared succession, taking over from co-founder Gémar Hompes who moved to the Board alongside fellow co-founder Piet Maes. Clive Brett joined at the same time as CTO. De Bruyne's mandate centres on accelerating Sofico's international expansion, product development on the Miles platform, and bolt-on M&A under the Astorg partnership.
