Wim Mintiens

Wim Mintiens is a co-owner of Link2Trust and its CTO-CIO, holding both roles since January 2026. He is based in Mechelen and states expertise in Hardware Security Module (HSM) and PKI. Since November 2013 he has also been the business owner of The Key 2 IT.

Between October 2022 and October 2025 he was a co-founder of Trust Agency BV, and from November 2021 to July 2023 he was a security policy officer at Euroclear. He was managing partner at KeySign from April 2018 to August 2021, and country manager at QuoVadis Group from November 2015 to October 2018.

Mintiens worked at Certipost from November 2006, first as service delivery manager and PKI consultant for the Belgian eID, then from March 2011 as director eID until November 2013. Before that he was a consultant and project coordinator at Prodata Systems from April 1994 to November 2006. Earlier he was a programmer analyst at DATEC and at PEC, completed military duty with the Belgian Air Force in 1990, and was a technical consultant at Bitcom from 1986 to 1989. He studied computer science at KU Leuven from 1983 to 1986.
