Overview
AGFA HealthCare is the HealthCare IT division of the Agfa-Gevaert Group. Its international website is operated and maintained by AGFA HealthCare N.V., the legal entity for Medical Imaging IT, registered at Septestraat 27 in Mortsel. Agfa began in 1867 near Berlin as a dye manufacturer, Gevaert was founded in Antwerp in 1894, and the two merged in 1964. From 1 January 2019 the group was organised into Agfa HealthCare for IT-related activities and Agfa for graphics, specialty products and imaging. In 2020 the group sold its healthcare information solutions and integrated care activities to the Italian group Dedalus for EUR 0.95 billion. In 2024 HealthCare IT represented 21% of group revenue. The division sells the Enterprise Imaging platform, together with the XERO Universal Viewer, a vendor neutral archive, RUBEE AI, RUBEE Orchestrator, Enterprise Imaging Scheduling, a streaming client and business intelligence tooling. Clinical areas covered include radiology, cardiology, digital pathology, breast imaging, molecular imaging, point of care ultrasound, medical photography and teleradiology. More than 1,000 healthcare sites use Enterprise Imaging, including over 170 vendor neutral archive installations and more than 800 Universal Viewer deployments. Named customers include SingHealth, UZ Brussel, Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, Tampa General Hospital and Alliance Medical. Nathalie McCaughley has been President since February 2022, and Dan Brown is Chief Technology Officer. In February 2026 the company was named Best in KLAS across three United States Enterprise Imaging segments.
