- Yesterday, Airscan.org participated in the Belgian Real Estate Summit, organised by EightySeven (ex-PropTech Lab). It was a great opportunity to connect with professionals from across the real estate and construction industry and exchange ideas on some of the key challenges shaping the future of our built environment. - Airscan's 2026 team day took us to the Belgian coast, where we spent the morning on strategy and afternoon on wakeboards. Environmental engineers can have fun too 😉 The strategy session covered our 2027 roadmap, pipeline, revenue targets, competitive positioning, and service gaps - an especially meaningful team effort because at the end of the day, moving the needle on air and environmental quality takes a whole village. Then we did flips and tricks on the water. Well... a couple splats and splashes too 😜
- Belgium's largest wildfire on record burned through 3,000 hectares of the High Fens three weeks ago. Across Southeast Asia, Indonesian forest fires have been pushing haze into Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines since August, closing schools and sending air quality into unhealthy readings for weeks. - Air quality will be affected too. 🌐 Ozone-climate penalty. Ground-level ozone rises 2-8 ppb for every 1°C of warming as heat accelerates the chemical reactions that form it. 🔥 More frequent and intense wildfires. Warming dries out landscapes and extends fire seasons, with extreme fires projected to increase by up to 50% globally by 2100. - How bad is PM2.5 exposure? A new meta-analysis in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) pooled 100 epidemiologic studies across 28 countries to map how short-term PM2.5 exposure relates to cardiovascular death. The relationship they found is supralinear, meaning each extra unit of pollution does more damage than the one before it as PM2.5 concentrations climb. Somewhere around 150 µg/m³ of daily PM2.5, the risk of dying from a cardiovascular cause stops rising steadily and starts jumping, which is the danger zone
