- Did you know that liver lesions in pigs can only be detected at the slaughterhouse? Our new TRIPLE A article looks at liver lesions in pigs: their welfare implications and why they matter at slaughter. - Triple A: Animal Awareness & Action | aWISH Articles 🐔 Footpad dermatitis and hock burns are common welfare concerns in broilers, causing painful lesions that can affect movement and access to feed and water. 📷 Within the aWISH project, an automated camera-based monitoring system was developed to assess these indicators at the slaughterhouse, with results made accessible to farmers through the aWISH Data Platform.
