Overview
Banqup Group SA sells cloud-based software for e-invoicing, e-payments and tax reporting from its headquarters at Avenue Reine Astrid 92A in La Hulpe. Hans Leybaert founded the company in 2001 as Unifiedpost Group. It listed on Euronext Brussels on 22 September 2020, raising 252 million EUR at an issue price of 20 EUR per share for an initial market capitalisation of 608 million EUR. At that point the group was active in 15 European countries, had more than 400,000 SMEs and over 250 corporate clients on its platform, and had processed more than 350 million documents during 2019. Shareholders approved the change of name from Unifiedpost Group SA to Banqup Group SA on 20 May 2025, framed around a shift to a pure-play SaaS model. Four product brands are being merged into one Banqup platform: Unifiedpost for corporates, Crossnet for corporates mainly in the DACH region, Banqup for SMEs outside Belgium and Billtobox for Belgian SMEs. The combined platform covers purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash, e-invoicing compliance and e-payments. A second product, eFaktura World, is sold to tax administrations for e-invoicing and B2G and B2B tax reporting. Unifiedpost Payments SA was renamed Banqup SA, and the remaining subsidiary renamings are expected to run through 2026. Hans Leybaert stepped down as chairman on 6 October 2025 and remains a board member.

When flawed tax positions are reported in near-real-time to tax authorities, errors no longer wait for a year-end audit, they propagate instantly. E-invoicing checks that an invoice is correctly built, but nobody checks whether the tax on it is right
