Overview
CDK is a KU Leuven spin-off that uses wireless survey devices to gather opinions from a large and diverse range of people. The platform addresses barriers to participation by making it easier for people to provide feedback without requiring attendance at workshops or completion of online surveys.

In the news
- At the start of the summer we supported Sweco in the participation for the new spatial policy plan of Lokaal bestuur Wuustwezel. In about one month, we helped to engage close to 600 people on the topic, from different locations. The insights showed again how location and context influences who engages, and therefor also the diversity of perspectives you can capture in this way. We even made the news (more than once!). Many thanks to Bo Billiet, Hans Tindemans and Ksenia Krasnitskaja! Wonderful way to start the collaboration!
- 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐤! 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬. We've been hard at work in the last weeks to expand our fleet. We are going from 40 devices to 60. And some more to follow in the coming months. And the best part? They're already reserved for most of the rest of this year! ❤️ Assembled in Leuven, by all of us. A few more gaps to fill, so let us know if you have projects in mind!
- A parklet is a pretty good place to ask people what they think about… a parklet. Landeshauptstadt München is using Citizen Dialog Kit to evaluate different interventions within the ASCEND Project in Harthof. The first stop already collected 105 responses. Residents were broadly positive, but the survey also revealed how they use the parklet, what they value and what could make it better. Suggestions with a lot of appeal included things such as improved protection from sun and rain. That is clearly why this approach fits these

The questions are light and playful so people can participate quickly during their day. This first
- For the past 4 weeks, Gemeente Lanaken has been collecting visitor feedback in different places in the municipality. They just crossed over 1.400 submissions with only 2 Dialog Boxes. Non-ticketed places usually offer little systematic insight into their visitors. This short, in-the-moment survey reveals where people come from, what kind of visit they are making, who they are with, why they came and how satisfied they are with the visit. With this volume of feedback, Lanaken can identify and compare meaningful patterns across visitor
