Clearfacts

Overview

Clearfacts is a pre-accounting platform for accountants and SMEs, founded in 2013 and based at Posthoflei 1 in Antwerp. The platform covers digital document delivery, invoice approval in a customer portal, automated recognition and data enrichment, automatic booking proposals, payments and financial insights, and integrates with the accounting packages Adsolut, Wings, Exact, Kluwer, Odoo, Sage and Winbooks. It manages 113,000 active files, processes 200,000 documents per day and is used by more than 400 accounting firms. On 29 July 2024 Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting agreed to buy the accountancy portfolio of Brussels-based Isabel Group for EUR 325 million in cash. The portfolio consisted of Codabox, Clearfacts, Clearnox, Flowin and Zoomit, served more than 8,000 accountants and 380,000 SMEs, employed more than 130 FTE in Belgium and France, and generated EUR 34 million in gross revenue in 2023, about 90% of it recurring. The legal entity ClearFacts BV was absorbed into Wolters Kluwer Belgium on 31 December 2024 and Clearfacts continues as a branch unit in Antwerp. Tom Vanhoorne is Managing Director of Clearfacts. On 6 December 2024 Wolters Kluwer launched Kyte, an invoicing module within Clearfacts for sole proprietors and micro-enterprises that sends e-invoices over the Peppol network. Kyte is activated through the user's accountant and costs EUR 4.99 per month excluding VAT at launch, rising to EUR 5.99. At that point the Clearfacts platform was used by more than 120,000 businesses.
