These regulations, of course, strongly influence #CivilProtection and #EmergencyResponse with drones being increasingly used for reconnaissance, victim assessment and many other tasks. While the overall regulatory framework is largely harmonised through the work of the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency (#EASA), the report finds that practical implementation still varies across countries. These differences often stem from national exemptions or specific authorisations granted to civil protection authorities. • Realistic, large-scale exercises are essential to strengthen preparedness for complex CBRN incidents. They allow responders to test procedures and technologies under operational conditions, identify remaining capability gaps, and improve coordination and interoperability between the many agencies involved in a major incident.
