- From 1 January 2027, many German suppliers will stop sending PDF invoices and switch to structured e-invoices. Good news for QAD users: DocLib, AP automation for QAD, now also lets German companies receive e-invoices via Peppol, with Dokapi as their certified Peppol Access Point. E-invoices land directly in your AP process, whether they arrive via Peppol, e-mail or portal. - From 1 January 2027, German suppliers with turnover above €800,000 can no longer send you PDF invoices. They must send e-invoices in XRechnung or ZUGFeRD format, and scanning tools cannot read the XML inside them. On 5 November, DocLib and Dokapi, a certified Peppol provider, will cover: → Who is affected, and how e-invoices should arrive and be checked → What to have in place before January → An e-invoice matched to its PO and receipt, approved and posted as a voucher, with no rekeying Most of it applies whatever ERP you run.
- Three months until Germany's next e-invoicing deadline. From 1 January 2027, when a larger German supplier invoices a German business, a plain PDF no longer meets German invoicing rules. That puts the input VAT on it at risk until the supplier sends a compliant e-invoice. DocLib and Dokapi are going live to show QAD finance teams what to do before January. On the 2nd of October at the E-Invoicing Exchange Summit in Berlin, Mathieu Pasture (Product Owner at Dokapi and elected member of OpenPeppol’s eDelivery Committee) hosted a round table on exactly that question.
