Importing US-origin goods into the EU? From 1 July 2026, EU Regulation 2026/1455 introduces new preferential tariff treatment for a wide range of US-origin goods. Depending on the CN code, the normal EU import duty may be reduced to 0%, reduced to a lower rate, or benefit from a tariff quota. But beware: shipping from the US or receiving an invoice from a US supplier does not automatically establish US origin. Importers remain fully responsible for the origin declared to customs.
