ECOS is an international NGO with a network of members and experts that ensures the environmental voice is heard when technical standards are developed. The organization drives change by providing expertise to policymakers and industry players to implement strong environmental principles. ECOS works on reducing waste, addressing harmful chemicals in products, and promoting efficient product recovery for longer product and material lifecycles in the transition to a circular economy.

- Good news! The European Commission has reached an agreement with Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and Danone over their greenwashing practices. Three years ago, BEUC - The European Consumer Organisation, with the support of ECOS and ClientEarth, reported these companies to European authorities for publishing misleading green claims about their plastic bottles. Acknowledging the problem, the three companies must now change their marketing, avoiding claims that bottles are ‘100% recycled’ or ‘100% recyclable' 👏👏👏 We hope to no longer see: ❌
