- The Netherlands is investing heavily in the networks beneath its streets. But before more infrastructure can be planned, one question becomes increasingly important: how accurately do we understand what is already there? As energy, water and telecom networks compete for limited underground space, infrastructure data can no longer be treated as a static record. It must reflect field reality, follow consistent standards and remain usable across planning, engineering and construction. Because a network design is only as reliable
- The biggest takeaway from #FTConnectEurope? Europe needs to scale connectivity as fast as possible. The conversations focused on investment, competitiveness, AI, and the conditions needed to strengthen Europe’s digital infrastructure. But scale alone is not the answer. Europe needs scale, but scale without control simply creates bigger problems. More investment is only useful if delivery can keep up with it. More infrastructure is only useful if complexity doesn’t multiply with every new project. That is where the next
- Happy 5 years at heta, Bassam Karoui! 🎉 Some colleagues become part of the story from the very beginning. Bassam is one of them. Over the years, Bassam has grown with heta, developed his skills, expanded his horizons and supported the many small steps and big milestones that brought us to where we are today. In Bassam’s own words, heta has given him the opportunity to grow professionally, take on new challenges, and keep developing along the way. Bassam, thank you for your loyalty, your contribution, and for being such a valuable
- Back from #ECOC2026 in Málaga. Beyond the technology on display, many of our conversations came back to a familiar challenge: how do we make network deployment more efficient from the very beginning? First-time-right construction depends on first-time-right engineering. The best equipment only creates value when the design behind it is clear, validated, and build-ready. That is exactly where heta's approach fits. We also saw growing interest in AI across the industry. “Scaling AI at the speed of light” was one of the messages on
- Second day at #ECOC2026 in Málaga! Another day of meeting people, exchanging ideas and getting a closer look at where fibre and network engineering are heading. We’re enjoying the conversations and discovering new opportunities for collaboration along the way. At ECOC today? - Predictable infrastructure delivery doesn’t start on site. It starts with better engineering and better data. Optical Connections has featured heta and how het.ENGINEERING & het. AI are helping move infrastructure projects from complexity to build-ready, predictable execution. Validated data. Earlier constraint detection. Fewer redesigns. Better investment decisions. And the timing couldn’t be better. #ECOC2026 starts in Málaga in just 3 days. If you’re attending and want to talk about where engineering and AI can take
- We’re at #StayConnected today, organised from Wirewave, at Van der Valk hotel at Brussels airport! A good opportunity to meet people from across the fibre and telecom ecosystem, exchange ideas and discuss the latest developments that shape the industry. If you’re attending too, let’s connect. We’d be happy to meet, share perspectives and explore potential opportunities to work together. think ahead. #Fibre #Telecom #Connectivity #DigitalInfrastructure #EngineeringServices
