Overview
HydroTeam is a student team from KU Leuven building a fully hydrogen-powered race car using a hydrogen internal combustion engine (H₂-ICE) rather than a fuel cell. The team is composed of full-time postgraduate students and part-time contributors who handle all aspects from design and engineering to business and marketing.

- Last week, we hosted our annual teacher day. This was the first event of this year’s H2 Grand Prix season. Teachers from the participating high-schools got more information from our new manager and Toyota Motor Europe about this year’s H2GP season and what they can expect over the coming months. - Het HydroTeam van de KU Leuven heeft als eerste studententeam ter wereld een racewagen met een waterstofverbrandingsmotor effectief laten rijden. De studenten stelden hun prototype voor in Eastech Park, de industriële innovatiehub voor de hightechsector die bedrijven met innovatiepotentieel moet verankeren in het Leuvense ecosysteem en die eigendom is van KU Leuven, stad Leuven en PMV. De racewagen is een prototype met een klassieke verbrandingsmotor die volledig werd omgebouwd om op waterstof te rijden - het team wil op die manier

- Last Thursday, we hosted our second reveal event and we’re very proud to say that it was a major succes! More than 150 people attended, to whom we showed what we have been working on the past 12 months. Our V0 drove flawlessly, showcasing that hydrogen engines are possible! 🏎️ 🏎️ This event marks the signoff of team 2, and the introduction of team 3. They are the ones who will take the next step towards Le Mans: participating in our first race. 🏁🏁 Our car was also featured on multiple news outlets, such as VRT:
