Overview
IONWAY is a dedicated battery materials producer created through a partnership between PowerCo (Volkswagen's in-house battery factory) and Umicore (circular materials technology company). The company aims to become an industry leader with an annual production capacity of 160 GWh by 2030, powering 2.2 million cars, and to be PowerCo's preferred supplier of battery materials.

- Together with a large part of the Procurement Team in Nysa, we visited our future IONWAY Nysa plant, currently under construction. Every time I visit the site, I am amazed by the scale. What was a greenfield just three years ago is now getting one of the largest industrial investments currently under development in Poland.
