- When a new regulation is published, someone responsible for #government buildings has to work out whether it applies to their sites, and what needs to happen by when. That means reading dense legal text, checking it against a whole portfolio of buildings and turning it into concrete maintenance work. - The Regelspotter won the Vlaanderen Hackathon 2026! Together with the AI experts at Arinti and Het Facilitair Bedrijf - Vlaamse overheid, we formed team De Wetswijzers. Today at #Trefdag26, we won over the audience and brought home the golden plaque. The Regelspotter reads new regulations and finds out which government buildings they affect. - We made it to the final! With our team De Wetswijzers (Arinti, Leap Forward, Het Facilitair Bedrijf - Vlaamse overheid), we’re one of the three finalists in the Vlaanderen Hackathon 2026, and now we need your help to bring home the golden plaque. 🥇 If you manage government buildings, you know the drill: new regulations come out, and someone has to work out which buildings are affected, what needs to happen and by when. - A long day for our teams, and we're not done yet. Two critical vulnerabilities in PHP, the language behind more than 70% of the web, sent websites offline across government, healthcare, education and media today. Our whole team is on it, following a clear plan: • We acted proactively wherever needed, temporarily taking websites offline as a precaution. • Where patches are available, we're rolling them out across the platforms we manage. • We're gradually bringing the remaining websites back online, each one as soon as it's safe. •
- What happens when we bring AI expertise to a question about new legislation? At the Vlaanderen Hackathon, we worked alongside the AI experts at Arinti, part of the Cronos Group, and Het Facilitair Bedrijf - Vlaamse overheid to develop "Regelspotter".
