- Last night, we hosted our very first 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 🍸 We got lucky with the weather, but even luckier with the people who joined us. - Most AI tools give you an answer, fewer tell you where it came from. In legal work, that gap is where things go wrong. A clause that's subtly wrong reads just as well as a correct one but by the time you notice, the damage is done. Christophe V. breaks down how we ran into this early when building OneView, and what we did about it. Language models don't look things up, they predict what text should come next. When the model doesn't have the right information, it keeps generating something that sounds reasonable. The answer was
- Everytime you ask AI to review a contract for you, you're starting from scratch. It doesn't know how you've negotiated with this counterparty before, what your standard positions are, or which clauses you've always pushed back on. So you explain, again and again.
