Meditech develops, manufactures and distributes pharmacy robots and digital solutions for independent pharmacies, hospital pharmacies and retail chains. The company was founded in 1998, began as a West Flemish family company and is headquartered in Izegem. It employs 120 people and operates as an independent company rather than a division of a larger group. Timon Dejonghe is CEO. The product range covers three lines: automation with the MT.XS and MT.XL robots and Solitaire, digitalisation with MT.Matic Pro, MT.Matic Slim, Collect, Kiosk, MT.VISION and MT.Shop, and dose and dispensing with VBM and the Guided Fill Station. Meditech has more than 3,000 automated pharmacies installed and is active in 37 countries across Europe, the UK, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. Between 80 and 85 percent of turnover comes from community pharmacies. The MT.XL custom robot followed in 2012, the MT.XS standard robot in 2014, MT.VISION screens in 2016 and MT.MATIC Pro in 2018, the year of the German expansion. Meditech sold around 100 robots in the UK over four years. The company holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and received the ED&I Award for Excellence in STEM 2026.

- Ever wondered what happens to a medication box once it enters a Meditech pharmacy robot? 🤔 Follow the life of a box and discover the journey behind pharmacy automation. It starts at our Optimat QL, where the box is automatically scanned, identified and checked before entering the robot. From there, it finds its place in storage until it is needed again. When requested, the journey continues. The box moves through the robot, can make its way to MT.SPEED for high-speed dispensing or travel towards one of the different exits,
