Overview
MyGamePlan is a football analytics platform that automates video tagging and lets clubs build custom metrics aligned with their own playing principles, with every metric linked to video footage. The platform has four modules: Team Performance, Player Development, Opponent Analysis and Recruitment. It auto-tags match footage, generates XML exports for existing workflows, supports broadcast and tactical footage, and integrates with multiple event and tracking data providers. It also includes MGPT, an AI football assistant that answers performance and tactical questions with supporting video clips. MyGamePlan BV was registered on 21 September 2021 and is based in Leuven. Dries Deprest and Berten Knaepen have been directors since that date; Knaepen is Co-Founder. The company lists 2-10 employees and is part of the imec.istart portfolio. More than 30 clubs use the platform. Named customers include Real Salt Lake, Malmö FF, KRC Genk, FC St. Gallen, Queens Park Rangers, CF Montréal, FC Volendam, IFK Göteborg, Varbergs BoIS, Al-Taawoun FC, Al Qadsiah, Independiente del Valle, Harju JK and RAAL La Louvière. - How much time does your staff spend building the next-opponent presentation? Picking the clips. Making the visuals. Turning it all into a story a squad will actually follow. MGPT now builds that presentation for you. It follows your game plan, uses your club’s look and feel, and puts the clip behind every slide. Ask for your next opponent and get a deck that’s ready for the dressing room. Presentations are now live in MyGamePlan.
- MGPT is now on your phone. Until today, our clubs opened MGPT on a laptop. But a lot of football decisions don’t get made at a desk. They get made on the bus to an away game, in the hotel the night before, ten minutes before the team talk. So we put it in your pocket. Available now on the App Store and Google Play Store. A new DTAI of KU Leuven paper, co-authored by our Lode Van Tente, shows why. Each model decides how far ahead it looks to judge whether an action led to a goal, and that hidden choice reshuffles the rankings. Look a few actions ahead and defenders rise. Look to the end of the possession and forwards gain about 50 places, because shots suddenly count twice as much. Knowing which actions really create
