- Can electrocoagulation remove micropollutants from landfill leachate? Researchers at Universiteit Gent LIWET group recently investigated this question using a continuous flow-through tubular electrocoagulation-flotation (ECF) reactor for polishing biologically treated landfill leachate. Noah Water Solutions contributed to the work through reactor technology and application expertise. The results show both the potential and the limitations of electrocoagulation. While the system removed up to 47% of the remaining COD in only 1.3
- From lab to field. This week, we completed an important milestone within our #Eureka #Innowwide project: the setup and demonstration of our electrochemical wastewater treatment system in South Afrika. Together with the SINRMAS team and students from the Innovation Hub, we assembled, tested and operated the system on site. What made this moment special is that it brought together both long-standing and new partners around the same objective: practical sanitation solutions that work in local conditions. - A new NOAH pilot installation is now treating real wastewater on the Ghent University Campus Kortrijk.
