- I’ll call you back when I’m off the train.” A phone call shouldn’t have to wait until the train arrives. Better signal reception onboard can help. At InnoTrans, AGC Glass Europe is presenting two ways to improve connectivity through the train window. ➡️ WAVETHRU™ Retrofit by Pulsaart by AGC lets more 4G and 5G signal through existing coated windows, while preserving thermal insulation. We treat flat and curved glass at your site, around your schedule, without removing the windows or adding powered equipment. Discover WAVETHRU™
- Final minute. The decisive shot. And… buffering. Your passengers shouldn’t miss the big moment because of poor mobile reception on board. - This is how we do it. Our WAVETHRU™ Retrofit cobot uses laser technology to treat the glazing already installed on the train, whether it is flat or curved. There is no need to remove or replace the windows. The treatment makes the glazing more transparent to 4G and 5G signals, giving passengers better access to their own mobile networks. Once applied, it works passively, with no additional equipment inside the train and no extra energy consumption. The work is carried out directly at the customer’s site and planned flexibly around
- Before cars hit the road, they first arrive here. Inside Pulsaart by AGC’s anechoic chambers, we map how antennas perform around the complete vehicle and see how its connectivity behaves from every angle. This gives automotive OEMs real data on connectivity blind spots while there is still time to address them. - We are excited to announced that Pulsaart by AGC will be at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin from 22 to 25 September, joining AGC Automotive Europe’s Transport and Industrial Vehicles Glazing division. We’ll be showcasing WAVETHRU™ Retrofit, our nearly invisible laser treatment that helps mobile signals pass through train windows, improving onboard connectivity without replacing the glazing or adding active equipment. Come and see the technology at booth 660 in Hall 1.1. Want a sneak peek before the event? Visit:
- You can barely notice the WAVETHRU™ Retrofit treatment, but the results are clear to see. By applying a precise laser treatment directly to existing train windows, our solution helps mobile signals pass through insulated glazing much more effectively. For passengers, that means better 4G and 5G connectivity on board. For rail operators, it means improving existing fleets without replacing the windows, installing active equipment or adding extra energy consumption. And because the treatment can be carried out on windows already
- EU is accelerating the deployment of advanced mobile networks. The latest European 5G Observatory report highlights faster roll-outs, simpler procedures and continued investment in digital infrastructure. Basic 5G coverage has reached 96.8% of EU households, while the number of deployed 5G base stations increased by 19.7% in 2025. But network coverage outside does not always mean good connectivity inside. Metallic coatings in modern train windows and building façades support thermal performance, but they can also weaken mobile
