- AI agents are becoming part of the engineering workflow. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁. We’re experimenting with Claude taking a GitHub issue from initial analysis to a draft pull request, with an engineer approving the plan before implementation begins. The opportunity? • Work keeps moving without engineers driving every step. • More time goes to architecture and customer challenges. • Technical judgement and accountability stay with the team. The agent handles more of the groundwork. Engineers remain in control of the
- Scaling a SaaS platform is exciting. Owning all the platform complexity? Less so. LemonSwan wanted to grow its user base while improving stability, scalability, security and operational excellence. With Skyscrapers’ DevOps-as-a-Service and the Reference Platform for SaaS, their developers could keep building while we handled the platform foundations. As Devin Gray, CTO at LemonSwan, put it: “With Skyscrapers, it was peace of mind from day one.” Read the full LemonSwan case: https://lnkd.in/g6hNpijK #SaaSPlatform #DevOps #AWS
- Simon R. put his thoughts on paper. Not because he has a finished answer, but because the way SaaS teams build and run platforms is changing. And we need to adapt with it. 👇
- Almost 11 years of growing with Skyscrapers, and plenty still ahead. 💚 Congratulations, Simon R., on becoming our Chief Technical & Product Officer. We’re proud of what you’ve helped build here and excited to keep building it together. #TeamSkyscrapers
- A logical next step for Simon R., a major step for Skyscrapers: I'm proud to announce that he has taken up the role of Chief Technical & Product Officer. Our story together started almost 11 years ago, when Simon joined as a cloud engineer. Since then I've watched him grow into a technical expert with a sharp, customer-focused vision. He is someone who takes roadmap items like our new DR/BC Add-on all the way to completion, who has been the driving force behind bringing AI into our operations and ensuring the reliability of our
- AI can write the documentation. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝘁? Writing is not just about recording what we know. It forces us to structure ideas, spot gaps and understand a subject more deeply. When AI takes over that process, the document may be finished faster while less knowledge actually sticks. That creates what we call internalisation debt: the information exists, but the understanding behind it is thinner. That does not make AI-generated documentation a bad idea. It does mean that saving time on writing
