Smappee is a Belgian energy technology company founded in 2012 by Stefan Grosjean and based at Evolis 104 in Harelbeke, West Flanders. It builds energy management systems, EV charging stations and an energy intelligence platform that brings energy production, storage, charging and consumption together in one system. The range covers the Smappee Infinity energy management system, Genius Flex, metering hardware, the EV One, EV Wall, EV Dual and EV Ultra charging stations, storage solutions, a dashboard, a mobile app and a partner portal. It serves residential, retail, workspace, real estate, hospitality, car parks, transport and logistics, public spaces and industrial sites. Smappee also operates Smappee Smartstop, a network of fast-charging squares in Belgium that opened its tenth site in Bruges in November 2024 and its fifteenth in Poperinge in July 2025. In October 2024 Kurt Vandeputte was appointed CEO and Grosjean continued as Smappee Group CEO, at which point the company had 140 employees and was active in 12 countries.
