Overview
Soma Reality specializes in developing eye tracking-based digital biomarkers that provide real-time insights into cognitive load and perception. The company applies eye tracking research to neuropsychology and uses algorithms to monitor cognitive processes, traditionally assessed with EEG and fNIRS.

- After applying our eye-tracking cognitive algorithms in industry and research, we have now decided to make them accessible to everyone. Everything you need to measure and understand your cognitive health, seamlessly integrated into your glasses. Join the waiting list. https://luchseyewear.com/
- Over the last 5 years, we have been researching and applying eye tracking as a window into cognitive state in surgical training, aviation, and military readiness. Now we have decided to make it available to everyone. Luchs is the world's first citizen science platform for cognitive health, built in partnership with leading universities and research institutions. Learn more: https://luchseyewear.com/
- We had the pleasure to present our latest work at ECVP2026 (European Conference on Visual Perception) in Bournemouth. We even shared the table with our partner Tobii.
- Wearables tell you that you are fatigued. LUCHS tells you why. Today, we are pleased to introduce LUCHS. Over the past six years, we at SOMAREALITY have developed eye-tracking algorithms that provide real-time insights into cognitive states. After applying our technology across aviation, healthcare, and research, we have taken another step toward our vision: to make cognitive insights available to everyone, everywhere. https://luchseyewear.com/
- As eye tracking becomes increasingly integrated into consumer devices such as augmented reality headsets and smartglasses, it offers the potential to establish wearable sensing for cognitive health in much the same way that cardiac sensing has transformed the monitoring of physical health. The results presented in this work represent an initial step toward a broader vision of continuous cognitive health monitoring. Over the course of one month, together with our partner Hogrefe Verlag GmbH & Co. KG we had 29 participants visiting
- Welcome Navid Nadji to SOMAREALITY. Navid will join our Quality Team to assist with study coordination as well as stress testing our cognitive eye tracking algorithms. Navid holds a master's in Cognitive Neuroscience and Clinical Neuropsychology.
- Today we are pleased to announce our research partnership with Hogrefe Verlag GmbH & Co. KG, a leading global provider of psychological assessment solutions, with subsidiaries in 18 countries and a portfolio of more than 2,400 tests available in 24 languages. Together, we are launching a joint research project to explore how cognitive performance can be continuously and objectively measured using only eye-tracking data. This collaboration combines SOMAREALITY's advanced cognitive algorithms with Hogrefe's expertise in
- Using eye-tracking and a ball-interception task, we found that participants' cognitive load peaked sharply around 2 seconds after stimulus onset and was correlated with learning rates (*r* = 0.31 / p< .001). Crucially, optimal learning was defined by a high load spike that recovered to baseline, while poor performance was marked by a sustained, elevated load that never came back down. Interestingly, this pattern held even when comparing the top and bottom 10% of trials: the highest learning rates showed strong phasic CL responses,
