- A customer recently mentioned that one of their factories in South America suffers from frequent power interruptions. They are in the middle of replacing unmanaged industrial switches with managed ones, adding visibility and enabling proper network segmentation. A solid step forward. But those power interruptions are not just hurting production. The sensitive equipment they are installing (managed industrial switches, industrial firewalls, ...) does not like frequent power cuts either. That is where the topic of UPS came up.

- How many times have you clicked "forgot my password"? 😉 Passwords have a fundamental problem: they can be stolen. By yourself (when you fall for a phishing email) or by the website itself (when it gets hacked and the password database ends up on the street). 👉 Passkeys solve that. Instead of setting a password, you agree on a key pair with the website. Two mathematically linked keys that are inseparable. ▪️ The public key goes to the website. Think of a letterbox where anyone can drop a letter. ▪️ The private key stays with you.
