- Not so long ago, every voyage started with a stack of paper charts. In this second clip, Céline MORTIER, CEO of BOGERD MARTIN and newly elected President of WISTA International, looks back at that time in shipping. Charts corrected by hand. - Céline MORTIER has just been elected President of WISTA International at the network’s annual AGM in Kuala Lumpur. A Belgian now leads the global association for women in shipping and trade. - Last week, A Seat At The Table took over The Beacon for “Innovate or perish: how can Europe survive the race of the century?”, and we were glad to be the host. - Around 45 Dutch geo-professionals (Consulaat-Generaal van Nederland in Antwerpen) walked through our doors this week. With one question: how do you make infrastructure and ports smarter with geodata? The delegation spent three days in Ghent and Antwerp. In Antwerp, they stopped at The Beacon, Lantis, VITO and Port of Antwerp-Bruges. A big part of the visit belonged to our founding partner Lantis. - 5 million containers. Released through SCR. Since 2020, T-Mining has worked on one problem: making container release across European ports secure and traceable. That means no more PIN codes passed around by email. Every release is digital, verifiable and tied to the party actually allowed to pick up the box. 5 million releases later, it’s no longer a pilot.
