- The simplest medical devices usually require the most design decisions.
- Our AI strategy started with canceling subscriptions. Six months ago, we ran on forty point solutions and a Confluence attic where things only ever got added and nothing was ever cleared out. So we set one rule: if a tool couldn't talk to AI, we asked ourselves why we still had it. Today, every colleague can simply ask a question to voxdale-os and get answers from the systems they are allowed to see. The pile of admin is melting like snow in the sun, and the time goes back where it belongs: developing physical products! We didn't
- From research to real-world impact. 🩸 How do you make blood sampling easier, safer and more accessible – including for people testing at home? That’s the challenge that brought together Instituut voor Tropische Geneeskunde in Antwerpen (ITM) and Antwerp-based product design company Voxdale | design-driven engineering Together, they developed Collect2Know, a patented blood-sampling device that: → reduces the number of components to just two → makes capillary blood sampling more consistent and accessible → was designed to be
- YES! A Red Dot for Voxdale. And yes, we celebrated! The C2K Bloodsampler was designed to make at-home blood collection feel straightforward, using a standard lancet and a standard specimen tube, without electronics or proprietary consumables. Just a product that quietly does its job. Making something feel that simple takes an enormous amount of thought. Every design decision, every material choice and every manufacturing detail had to earn its place until only the essentials remained. That's the kind of challenge our
- Always good to build alongside a team that takes the software side as seriously as we take the hardware. Okkio is a fleet-safety system —> a smart dashcam in the vehicle, a portal for the fleet manager and an app for the driver. It spots 8+ types of driving events on its own and turns them into usable evidence. 🔗 More about the project to be found via the link in the first comment (@LinkedIn: please change this rule!) Software and hardware are designed as one product, not stitched together after the fact. Thanks to the team at DJM
