Overview
Alexis Gonzales is the founder and chief executive of Aleph Technologies, a company he started in August 2011 and which he still leads from Brussels. Between October 2016 and December 2021 he was founder and chairman of inclu.tech, and from December 2012 to February 2019 he worked as a senior consultant at Caitlann.
Earlier in his career he was VP IT at SQR Technologies during 2012, and sat on the advisory committee of CRYPTASC from October 2010 to September 2012. He spent five years at Logica as a senior technology consultant, from June 2006 to July 2011, having previously managed database administration at Tiscali between September 2000 and January 2005. He began his career at Partena in February 1997 as a database administrator and software engineer.
Gonzales studied computer sciences at the Institut des Carrières Commerciales from 1988 to 1990, and completed a master's degree in mathematics at UMONS in 1995.

- Reading "An Alien Mind," by OpenAI's Jakub Pachocki, is a particular experience. On first pass, it is the most candid safety essay from a frontier lab in some time. On second pass, you notice it asks the world to do the things its own founding charter used to demand of it. H.L. Mencken once wrote that the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins.
