Overview
Annick Roetynck is Managing Director of LEVA-EU, a position she has held since March 2017. She is based in Gent and has been an independent business owner since January 1990.
Between July 2014 and January 2017 she was Light Electric Vehicle Policy Manager at AVERE, and from 2016 to December 2017 she sat on the board of ASBE. Earlier, she was Secretary General of the European Twowheel Retailers' Association from January 1995 to December 2013, having held the same role at the Belgische Tweewielerfederatie from February 1987 to January 1995.
She studied at Rijksuniversiteit Gent from 1981, taking a bachelor's degree in State and Public Administration Science in 1983 and a master's degree in Political Science in 1985. She subsequently attended the Institute for Journalism Brussels from 1989 to 1991 and studied bicycle and motorcycle mechanics and repair technology at Syntra Midden-Vlaanderen, Campus Asse, from 1991 to 1993. Her secondary education was in Latin-Greek at Lyceum Onze-Lieve-Vrouw ter Nieuwe Plant.

- LEVs: A Climate Solution Trapped in the Wrong Legislation Today, LEVA-EU published an open letter to Commissioner Séjourné on behalf of the Light Electric Vehicle sector. The message: LEVs — e-bikes, speed pedelecs, cargo bikes, e-scooters, microcars — could replace up to 76% of car trips in Europe.
