Benoit Daems

Overview

Benoit Daems is CEO and co-owner of Fermedics - Unlocking nature's potency, a role he has held since September 2021. He is based in Ostend. Since January 2021 he has also worked in business development at Frubero, of which he is a co-owner, and has served as an advisory board member at various food companies. He has been the owner and zaakvoerder of EBONIT BVBA since November 2013, and he co-founded Nutricures, where he remained until July 2022. Between October 2024 and October 2025 he was president of Kiwanis Oostende Noordzee vzw.

Earlier, Daems ran a business unit at Eco Treasures, and at Aminolabs Group NV he was director of transformation operations, procurement and supply chain and later R&D lead for Belgium. He worked at MANUMIXX NV by AMINOLABS GROUP from December 2013, first in operations and supply chain and then as managing director. He was manufacturing manager for industrial products at FrieslandCampina, and began his career at Capsugel Bornem division of Pfizer in 2001, holding roles including process engineer, production manager, continuous improvement manager and printing and finishing manager, followed by softgel production manager at Capsugel.

He studied pharmaceutical science at KU Leuven, industrial engineering in chemistry with a biochemistry option at Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven, and business studies at KU Leuven, and completed a Scale-up Masterclass at Vlerick Business School.
