Overview
David Grunewald is the founder of pluginto, which he started in June 2023, and is based in Brussels. He states expertise in generative AI, AI strategy, AI training, prompt engineering and artificial intelligence.
He also teaches at Ichec Brussels Management School, having begun in March 2023, at the Université libre de Bruxelles, where he has taught e-communication since March 2014, and at ECS (European Communication School) since 2012. He previously taught at Ihecs - Haute Ecole Gallilee from October 2008 to June 2021, at CAD - College of Advertising and Design from 2008 to 2015, and at CREA - OMNES Education from 2012 to 2014.
From January 2021 to June 2023 he was chief executive officer of Havas Brussels. He had been chief executive officer of J. Walter Thompson Worldwide and of Mirum Agency Belgium from June 2015, roles he held until December 2020 and January 2021 respectively. Between February 2011 and June 2015 he headed Emakina/Agency and was director of strategy at Emakina Agency, and from 2006 to 2011 he was general manager of Troy Agency. He was general manager of Young & Rubicam Belgium in 2006, account director at Duval Guillaume from 2004 to 2006 and at TBWA\Belgium from 2002 to 2004, and account manager at Ogilvy & Mather from 1995 to 2002.
He holds a master's degree in communication and advertising from IHECS, completed in 1995, and followed the MIT Sloan School of Management executive programme on artificial intelligence and its implications for business strategy in 2023.
