Overview
Ehsan Farahani is the CEO and co-founder of cogniteye, a company he co-founded in April 2021. He is based in Leuven.
Farahani spent several years at KU Leuven, where he undertook predoctoral training from August 2014 to September 2015, worked as a graduate research assistant from October 2015 to May 2020, and held a postdoctoral research position from June 2020 to March 2022, overlapping with the first year of cogniteye. Before that he was head of research and development at AJTEB from February 2012 to July 2014, and between September 2008 and December 2010 he worked as an electronic engineer with the Omid robotics team at Shahed University.
He completed a PhD in computational neuroscience at KU Leuven between 2015 and 2020. He holds a Master of Engineering in bioengineering and biomedical engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic, awarded in 2011, and a Bachelor of Engineering in the same field from Shahed University, awarded in 2009.
