Overview
Fabian Heyse co-founded Daidalo, based in Ghent. Through consultancy work in data and AI, he landed in the recruitment sector and identified the data quality problem in recruitment agency ATS systems. Daidalo automatically enriches, cleans, and classifies candidate data by connecting ATS records with sources like LinkedIn, CVs, and meeting notes.

- Great to meet Jaron Schaillée from Minggo last week! daidalo is the Intelligence Layer: we update, structure and enrich the data in your ATS. Minggo is the Experience Layer: they turn that data into automated flows and digital experiences for clients and candidates. Two pieces of the puzzle that fit together nicely. Over the coming months, we’ll explore how we can help our customers even more, together. 🤝 To be continued! PS: Apologies for the Photoshop skills. Still looking for a marketer! 🔎
- Unpopular opinion: Even in the age of AI the answer to 'Buy vs Build' is almost always 'Buy'.. Last Saturday, Bullhorn, market leader in CRM for recruitment agencies, took its platform offline after a cyber incident. Our integrations with Bullhorn only came back online today, so we felt it first hand. It's still why I tell agencies to buy software. Thousands of agencies were hit at the same moment. Bullhorn had CrowdStrike incident responders on it and had core access back online within days. A specialist SaaS vendor has security
- How do you build a commercial team without raising money? 👀 You make customers so happy that they fund it. That’s been the plan at daidalo since day one. 30+ recruitment agencies now use us to get more placements out of their own data, and their revenue is paying for the next phase: Very excited to announce that Nicolas Flanagan joins daidalo as Account Executive! ⚡ I’ve known Nico since his days at delaware BeLux and Bizzy. This time, the timing was right. The product is ready, agencies are asking for it faster than we can have
- Congrats Spott on the $21M series A. Leuven to New York and Sydney in two years. I was skeptical at the start. ATS/CRM looked like a red ocean to me. Entrenched, incumbents, decade-old contracts, no oxygen left for a newcomer... It took you about a year to prove me I was wrong. 10x revenue sinds Januari customer across the world with significant chunks coming from US, APAC and UK. Agencies with +100 recruiters actually migrating off systems they had been stuck on for years. Solid execution! 🔥 At daidalo, we are bootstrapped and
- Rob Earles joins daidalo as Head of UK! 🔥 After helping to launch JobAdder in the UK, a fast promotion to Head of Sales and then running sales at MyPeople and Paiger, he decided to do it with us: a bootstrapped startup from Ghent. I'm still a bit amazed he said yes. For the past year we executed founder-led sales while we built the product with our first customers. People advised me to hire sales sooner (Andreas Geamanu 😉), but we waited. It had to be the right person, with the experience, industry knowledge and the network. Rob
- We’re growing, fast. Noah joined 3 months ago as an intern. He crushed it. Jense blew us away with his engineering case. No-brainer. As of this week, Noah and Jense are officially Software Engineers at daidalo. 💚 Recruitment tech runs on hype and big promises. We built the opposite: our first 10 people are all engineers. No noise, just software that does what we said it would. Next step? Build the commercial team. Big news coming soon. 👀 In the meantime, we’re still looking for a founding marketeer. No processes, no playbooks. We
- Out Of Office: daidalo spends the week in the beautiful Swiss Alps! 🏔️ Together with Ingmar Van Bogaert, Philippe van Gucht, Noah Van Laer, Bernard Antonissen and Floriant Sturm. The perfect mix of go-lives, product development but also cycling, swimming, and tomorrow we’re starting a two-day hike. It’s the perfect time to reflect on what we’ve accomplished over the past months and where we’re heading. 🚀 We miss Seppe Wauman, who’s on vacation, and we’re looking forward to Jense Cool joining next week! PS: still looking for
