Fabrice Brion

Overview

Fabrice Brion is co-founder, chairman of the board of directors, CEO and VP R&D of I-care, a predictive maintenance and industrial performance group headquartered in Mons. He started the company in 2004 with Arnaud Stievenart, who remains a member of the board. The idea came out of his engineering studies in Mons, where a professor proposed industrial predictive maintenance as a thesis subject. I-care combines IoT vibration sensors sold under the Wi-care name, an AI platform called I-see, and engineering services, and it groups the subsidiaries I-care Electronics, Mecotec, SDT Ultrasound and Technical Associates. The company reports 65 million in turnover for 2023, 35 offices across more than 15 countries, 2,000 customers in more than 55 countries, 300,000 industrial machines monitored 24/7, 30 percent yearly organic growth since 2017 and six acquisitions since 2017. It welcomed its 1,000th employee in July 2025. In December 2025 I-care announced a valuation of 1.16 billion dollars after a 23.2 million dollar fundraising and refinancing round reserved for existing shareholders and employees, with consolidated annual revenues above 116 million dollars and an order book above 232 million dollars. The co-founders hold 72 percent of the shares, employees 8 percent and reference shareholders 20 percent, among them Finasucre, Wallonie Entreprendre, CPH Bank, IMBC and Amerigo Fund. In July 2026 the group announced a 25 million dollar investment in its United States arm, I-care Reliability Inc.

Brion finished his engineering studies in Mons and took industrial predictive maintenance as his thesis subject on a professor's suggestion. I-care followed in 2004, co-founded with Arnaud Stievenart.

As founder, Fabrice drives the technology and commercial strategy of I-care, developing AI systems that predict machine failures before they occur, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
