Florian Vallaeys

Overview

Florian Vallaeys is Managing Director of GESPODO LAB, a role he took up in September 2025, and is based in Brussels. He states expertise in negotiation, contract negotiation, business-to-business work, international business and strategic partnerships.

He co-founded Ugani Prosthetics in February 2021, has been a director of Prothea Kenya since March 2023 and vice chairman of the Ugani Foundation since December 2023.

Vallaeys spent several years at Turbulent Hydro, joining as an engineering intern in August 2015 and going on to work as project and sales manager, as general manager for Chile from February 2017 to February 2021, and as business development manager until January 2022. Between 2018 and 2019 he was also part of the operations team and the board of advisors of Leuven Value Network. Earlier, from 2011 to 2014, he held a student job at Chardonnay Meerdael.

He studied industrial engineering in electromechanics at KU Leuven, taking a bachelor's degree and a master's degree, with a student exchange at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and completed a postgraduate programme in innovative entrepreneurship at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2016.
