Overview
Ignace Martens is based in Gent and teaches at KU Leuven Technologiecampus Gent, where he has been professor of production management and management accounting since October 1992. In September 2011 he founded the Lean Learning Academy at the same campus and has coordinated it since.
He studied at KU Leuven, qualifying as a civil engineer in electromechanics between 1982 and 1988 and as a civil engineer in industrial engineering in 1988 and 1989. He went on to complete a master's degree in industrial management at EHSAL Management School in 2002 and 2003.
