Overview
Ignacio Anegon is a co-founder of AbolerIS Pharma and is based in France. He co-founded the company in November 2019 and was a senior consultant there until November 2024.
Since May 1988 he has been a Director of Research Exceptional at INSERM Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale, where he directed the INSERM-CRTI Center from 2009 to 2018 and was scientific director of the Transgenesis Rat ImmunoPhenomic facility from 1999 to 2022. He led a team at INSERM unit 1064-CRTI from June 1989 until November 2022, and directed Labex IGO from 2016 to 2020.
At the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS) he directed the FOCIS Center of Excellence of Nantes University from 2005 to 2022, chaired the International FOCIS Centers of Excellence from 2016 to 2022 and the Education Committee from 2020 to 2022. He has been Vice-President since June 2022 and holds the presidency for the term from June 2024 to June 2026.
He studied medicine at the Universidad de la República from 1975 to 1982 and took a Habilitatio à Diriger des Recherches in biology at Nantes Université, completed in 1998.
