Overview
Jan Van Wijnendaele is Managing Director of doktr, a role he has held since July 2022. He is based in Gent.
He began his career at Siemens, where he was a product manager from 1997 to 1999, before joining Proximus in October 1999. He held a succession of roles there as sales engineer, product manager, market manager, group market manager and lead manager innovation for mobile payments. In June 2010 he moved to Ingenico Financial Solutions NV/SA, where he was successively commercial director, managing director, general manager and director until December 2015.
From April 2016 he worked at Van de Velde, first as global e-commerce and innovation manager and then, from November 2017, as head of innovation. He returned to Proximus in April 2019 as strategy manager, and from April 2021 to June 2022 was managing director eHealth for doktr.
He studied at Katholieke Hogeschool 'Sint-Lieven', Gent, completing a master in engineering as industrieel ingenieur in 1997, and took a master in industrial organisation at Ehsal Management School - Brussel between 2001 and 2003.
