Overview
Jef Van Gool is the owner of activate, a position he has held since February 2018, and is based in Begijnendijk. Since July 2015 he has also been founder and CEO of Sherlock SEO Agency.
Between January 2018 and January 2021 he was a franchisee of SmartNinja, and from September to December 2018 he was a public speaker for Google. At BNI® Business Network International he was social media manager from March 2016 to October 2017, and he went on to serve as powerteam coordinator at BNI hekla until June 2018.
Van Gool began at Bedtime Beddenspeciaalzaak as a management trainee in sales marketing from 2008 to 2013, working in sales and marketing at Bedtime from July 2008 and as online marketing manager there from October 2013 to June 2015. From March 2013 to June 2015 he worked as a search engine marketing consultant under his own name.
He studied communication and media studies at AP Hogeschool Antwerpen, webdesign in adult education, PHP webscripting at CVO Antwerpen, programming and JavaScript at SmartNinja, and completed a permaculture design course at aardebloesem.be.
