Overview
Johan Cockx is a cofounder of Embeetle, where he has worked on core development since February 2020, and is based in Leuven. He had cofounded Embeetle IDE in January 2018, a role he held until June 2022. Since December 2012 he has also been the owner of Sikando.
Earlier, Cockx was a senior project engineer at FMTC from April 2009 to February 2013, and a senior researcher at imec from August 1996 to July 2007. He began his career as a research assistant at ESAT from September 1983 to December 1985, and was a senior software developer at EDC nv, a Mentor Graphics company, from November 1986 to July 1996.
He studied electrical engineering at KU Leuven from 1978 to 1983, graduating with a Master of Science.
