Overview

In its first years the company combined IT consultancy with recruitment and built an HR product, Unwhyre, that used a chatbot to gather candidate data and scored it against more than a hundred parameters, among them commuting time, to predict both fit and the risk of an employee leaving. He said at the time that the company worked with an external ethics committee and that the system did not eliminate candidates during hiring. Named users of the platform in 2022 were ArcelorMittal, BNP Paribas Fortis and Telenet, and the company had raised over 200,000 euro on the crowdlending platform WinWinner to fund the product and the consultancy arm. Summ.link certified to ISO 27001 in June 2023. From January 2025 De Pauw began repositioning the firm from placing people towards building and owning solutions, and set up Pulse.lab as its venture studio. He has named four 2026 priorities: Summ.link itself, CortexIQ, a decentralized data and AI network for edge devices, Oblify, a contract and risk intelligence platform for smaller companies, and VoltNet, an energy contract comparison engine built with two PhD students. His team also works on Project Macula, a distributed networking layer for peer-to-peer collaboration between AI agents.

Kevin De Pauw started Summ.link in 2016 and leads it from Ghent. The company was entered in the Belgian company register on 4 April 2016 under enterprise number 0651.734.783, and its incorporation deed was published in the Belgian State Gazette that same month. It has been a besloten vennootschap since November 2021, with De Pauw and Mariana Gomes Soares as directors, and its registered seat has been on Nederkouter in Ghent since March 2023. The firm was based in Melle in 2022. Summ.link builds data platforms on Azure and AWS and works on data engineering, governance, compliance and security, agentic AI and Web 3.0 data spaces. Its core activity is recruitment of platform, data and AI talent, and since January 2025 De Pauw has been converting it into a consultancy that builds solutions with those people. Pulse.lab, the venture studio he set up around that shift, works on knowledge-graph-powered engines and chatbots. An earlier product, an HR platform called Unwhyre, analysed candidate and employee data against more than a hundred parameters. Summ.link certified to ISO 27001 in June 2023 and worked with the National Bank of Belgium and the Federal Police in 2025. De Pauw also hosts the podcast LuminaTalks with Leonardo Minatti.
