Overview
Koen Penneman is a co-founder of CHENEXT Technologies, a role he took up in August 2024. He is based in Gent.
He holds a number of concurrent positions: he has been a startup mentor at Netwerk Ondernemen since March 2024, co-founded Innovation Center Lokeren in September 2011 and Global-TaSK in October 2009, has managed ProCenTis since July 2009 and BUR-O-C since August 2002, and has owned PipeXperts by Engiplast BV since April 2006. From September 2000 to April 2006 he was a project manager at Agidens.
Penneman studied at KU Leuven, where he completed a Master of Sciences in Electromechanical Engineering (Mechatronics) in the Applied Sciences faculty between 1994 and 2000, followed by a Master of Sciences in Safety and Environmental Engineering from 2001 to 2004. In 2005 he took a postgraduate qualification as Veiligheidscoördinator TMB Niveau 1 at Katholieke Hogeschool 'Sint-Lieven' in Gent, and he followed the PLATO XII and PLATO INNOVATIE programmes at VOKA Antwerpen-Waasland between 2010 and 2013. He attended SJKS College Sint-Niklaas from 1988 to 1994.
